I was watching Jeopardy last night and there was a really stupid commercial on for some furniture store. The was a giant chicken pot pie in the store, and a sales guy was complaining that it was the most comforting pie ever, but the store was already too full of comfort.

Chris immediately took issue with chicken pot pie being the most comforting. I asked him what he thought instead. He picked apple and chocolate cream.

Then I started thinking about comfort foods and what could go in pie. I said it out loud. "Macaroni and cheese pie."

Chris got super-excited, and now we have to make macaroni and cheese pie. I think we'll melt some cheese on top of it, instead of an upper crust, non?
